Thailand BOI guide

BOI skilled workers and visas

Promoted projects use a dedicated channel for skilled positions rather than the standard employment quota.

Positions must be justified

Promoted companies apply for approved positions based on the project's technical needs. Approval is per position and per person, and renewals depend on the project remaining compliant.

The practical experience

The One Stop Service Center consolidates visa and work permit processing for promoted companies, which materially reduces friction compared with the standard route. It does not remove immigration reporting duties or make approval automatic.

BOI eligibility depends on the specific activity, project and current regulations. This page provides general information and is not official BOI advice.
